国家林草局今天(4月27日)发布，日前，中国野生动物保护协会与美国圣迭戈动物园签署了大熊猫保护合作协议，将选择一对大熊猫前往美国圣迭戈动物园，开启为期10年的大熊猫国际保护合作。
中方从中国大熊猫保护研究中心选定了一对大熊猫“云川”(雄性)、“鑫宝”(雌性)，并为两只大熊猫安排了经验丰富的饲养师和兽医陪同赴美。美方正在对大熊猫场馆进行改造提升，为大熊猫创造更大、更舒适的生活环境。同时，动物园还为两只大熊猫配备了曾在中国学习交流大熊猫饲养管理、日常护理及相关科研技术的专业团队。
为确保两只大熊猫在美健康生活，今年3月，中国野生动物保护协会组织专家前往美国，与圣迭戈动物园就开展大熊猫合作进行深入磋商，开展技术指导与交流，明确大熊猫饲养管理、居住环境、健康护理等标准要求。
美国圣迭戈动物园是世界五大动物园之一。按照协议内容，双方正在积极推进大熊猫赴美前相关准备工作。
